Summer Food

I just finished eating a delicious lunch: a BLT sandwich made with home grown tomatoes, lettuce, and Hormel brand bacon, plus home grown cucumbers on the side - - and grape pop in a glass bottle! What a fine meal. I loved it!

Guess what's for dinner??? Home grown sweet corn! More tomatoes. And for dessert: fresh raspberries. Yum! I love summer food.

I'm with you. I like summer foods also. We just harvested about 5 tomatoes off one of our plants. Sweet corn and raspberries are the best. I picked a cup full of raspberries from wild bushes up at Breezy Point. They were so sweet. The other day I pan roasted some almond slivers, added some olive oil and fresh green beans and cooked for about 6-7 minutes. It was wonderful.

Grape pop!!?? It should have been an cold glass of lemonade or ice tea. That would have fit the theme better. Just my opinion.

Sounds like two wonderful meals. BLT's are my favorite. I love all of those summer foods too. Where are you finding the grape pop in the bottle?

A four-pack of grape pop in glass bottles was given to me by a dear friend for my birthday. To me, pop in a glass bottle is like fine wine -- I drink it only on special occasions.
