I realize it has only been raining for three days in a row, but it is really getting OLD! However, those constant rain drops didn't stop Aunt Liz, Pat, Tiny and me from driving to Scandia, Minnesota, yesterday to take part in their annual Swedish celebration of the end of winter. I think it kept lots of others away, as we had the entire museum to ourselves for quite awhile. We enjoyed touring the church, built in the 1850's, the prast house (the parson's house), the immigrant's cabin, and an adorable summer cottage that Pat and I loved. We managed to spend some money in the wonderful gift shop too.
Today Peder and Sarah came over to see my Japanese vacation photos and souvenirs and we had supper together. Peder has been after me to start my own blog, so here is my first attempt. He and Rachel have such good ones, that I feel a bit like a kindergartner, but hopefully I will advance to at least a 6th grader! :-) I hope you'll check in once in awhile to read my entries, and feel free to make comments. I'll try to add photos from time to time.
I just looked out the window and it is still raining, raining, raining.
